Armentarola

Armentarola is a hamlet of the municipality of Badia, near San Cassiano, in the direction of Passo Falzarego. Its name derives from the Ladin word Armenc, which means "herd". It was once a cattle pasture. Armentarola is located at 1620 meters above sea level and is set among dreamlike views, ice falls and rocky walls of the Sella and Sassongher massifs. The village can be reached via a road that leads from the center of Badia to the Valparola National Park, to Lagazuoi, with its war records and to the Dolomite slopes of Valparola. Winter, however, is the time to ski in the most breathtaking slopes in the world, including Armentarola. In summer, if you are looking for many things to do, you can go hiking, from where you can start a trip to Valparola, Lagazuoi, with its impressive war records and the Dolomite slopes.
