Lake Landro

Lake Landro is located at the bottom of the Val di Landro (Landro Valley), in Alto Adige, within the municipality of Dobbiaco, a few kilometres north from the junction that branches off towards Lake Misurina or Cimabanche, at a distance of about twenty kilometres from Cortina d’Ampezzo. From the lake you can admire the steep rocky walls of the Dolomites and, with a watchful eye, you will discover a boundary stone with a wheel, placed there in memory of the cableway that was once used to convey supplies from the lake to the positions on Mount Piana during the First World War. Surrounded by a dream scenery of peaks and mountains, this expanse of cold water is one of the largest natural lakes in Alta Pusteria (Upper Puster Vally), in Alto Adige, and conquers all travellers with its typical turquoise colour and ideal location.
