Dobbiaco
Dobbiaco is an Italian municipality with a population of 3,356 inhabitants located in the autonomous province of Bolzano, in Trentino-Alto Adige. It is located at an altitude of 1,256 m above sea level, in Val Pusteria (Puster Valley), as part of the so-called "green valley", protected to the south by the rocky walls of the Dolomites and to the north by the chain of the Western Tauern Alps and the Carnic Alps: this is precisely the reason why it is also known as the "gateway to the Dolomites." The town is known throughout the world for its Nordic Arena, where World Cup competitions and other international cross-country skiing events take place every year.
